Early American Indians used cranberries for food and as dye for rugs,blankets and clothing.  In WWII about one million pounds/year of dehydrated cranberries were supplies to US troops. The next step in its evolution is as a bright red wine, bursting with unique cranberry tartness called the "ibimi" by early Cape Cod Pequot and Leni-Lenape Indian tribes.  Today, we believe they would approach this vibrant red cranberry wine with wonder.
